Rainy and lovely in Anguilla the last few days, and Luther just did not feel like looking at a grocery store yesterday. Headed west for shopping at Irie Life, and did very well there, then sautered into Geraud's for num-nums to graze on.
Superb!
Started with a vegetable patty, perfectly curried, and ate it while driving through torrential rain heading back east. I could not put it down - the crust was a masterwork in itself..
Got my take-out Eggplant Parm, and tucked into that at home early the evening. Yum and double Yum! Really good Geraud and Mel! Kudos all around. Great caesar salad also. Hail Caesar!
Guilty pleasure..........pecan brownie watching a RERUN of Real Housewives of New Jersey. Mmmmmmmmmmm. Mega-chocolate while heckling Danielle. |

You just made Anguilla sound like paradise even on a rainy day......all without mentioning beaches, bars, BBQ, islanders.......thanks for the mental image and aroma memories. _________________

Sometimes, Luther, I feel all you do is think about food! I have to admit, though, I'd love to have joined you at Geraud's, and at all those other restaurants you mention from time to time.
BTW, for any forum members living or visiting Cape Cod this summer, there is a GREAT French Bakery and Bistro, P B Boulangerie Bistro, that has opened up in Eastham, MA (see www.pbboulangeriebistro.com). Truly superb! _________________

Luther--you are too funny, what a great rainy day. LOL the real housewives of New Jersey--they give NJ a bad name for sure, especially
Franklin Lakes a lovely town. I did see one of the real ones Dina
at Saks----no I did not say hello, I just thought she looked very
familiar! Ah the stars of reality TV---quite a joke, but hey we know who
they are! |

Sure wish I were there for some of those pancakes this week - I'd probably want to try the strawberry and blueberry first, but oh, those apple pancakes sure sound delicious! _________________

| That's good to know! My hubby always runs when there and by the time he gets his run in and cleaned up, it might be "late" to get a good selection! Will try this the next time we are down! |

Speedy, great to meet you, too. Thanks for telling me about reserving pastries! I sent Mike out this morning at 6:45am and he returned within 30 minutes with STILL WARM almond croissants. I just devoured it and WOW it was the best I've ever had.
See you soon and hopefully Saturday at Smokey's.

Ooh, I remember that chocolate mousse cake! When we stayed at LaVue last Feb/Mar, Kirk ordered one for one of the guests. It was wonderful! Even for breakfast _________________

You're most welcome! Glad you enjoyed
However, I think we forgot to give you the remoulade sauce to go with it.
Sorry- I guess you'll have to come back for another |
